EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 35.032 points at today's trading
The Egyptian Pound index decrease against major currencies at the end of trading on Thursday 30 April 2026, where the value of the index fell to 35.032 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 35.476 points at the close of trading yesterday,Wednesday.
The decline of the Pound index came as a result of its decreased against the US dollar, the euro, the Chinese yuan, the Japanese yen, the Saudi riyal ,UAE dirham, and the pound sterling at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar rose from EGP 53.08 to EGP 53.67 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 52.98 to EGP 53.57 by the close of trading.
The average selling price of the euro rose from EGP 62.13 to EGP 62.88 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 62 to EGP 62.75.
The average selling price of the pound sterling rose from EGP 71.71 to EGP 72.62 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 71.56 to EGP 72.46.
The Japanese yen’s average selling price rose from EGP 33.21 to EGP 34.39 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 33.14 to EGP 34.32.
The Chinese yuan’s average selling price rose from EGP 7.77 to EGP 7.86 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 7.75 to EGP 7.85.
The UAE dirham’s average selling price rose from EGP 14.45 to EGP 14.61 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 14.42 to EGP 14.58.
The Saudi riyal’s average selling price rose from EGP 14.15 to EGP 14.31 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 14.13 to EGP 14.28.
