EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 35.092 points at today's trading
The Egyptian pound index witnessed increase against major currencies by the end of trading on Sunday 1 May, rose to 35.092 points compared to 35.023 points at the close of Last Thursday's session.
The rise of the pound index came as a result of its rose against the US dollar, the euro, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal , the Chinese yuan,and the Japanese yen, at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar decreased from EGP 53.67 to 53.57 EGP , while the average buying price fell from EGP 53.57 to EGP 53.47 by the close of trading.
The euro’s average selling price decreased from EGP 62.88 to EGP 62.80, while the average buying price fell from EGP 62.75 to EGP 62.67.
The UAE dirham’s average selling price decreased from EGP 14.61 to EGP 14.59 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 14.58 to EGP 14.56.
The Saudi riyal’s average selling price decreased from EGP 14.31 to EGP 14.28 , while the average buying price fell from EGP 14.28 to EGP 14.26.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan decreased from EGP 7.86 to EGP 7.85 as did the average buying price, which decreased from EGP 7.85 to EGP 7.83.
the average selling price of the Japanese yen, it decreased from EGP 34.39 to EGP 34.12 , The average buying price also decreased from EGP 34.32 to EGP 34.04 .
As for the average selling price of the pound sterling rose from EGP 72.62 to EGP 72.74 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from 72.46 EGP to EGP 72.57.
