«Retail Indicator»: Retail Banking Segment at «ABC» Delivers Strong Performance in 2025

The retail banking segment at Arab Banking Corporation «ABC» recorded solid growth during 2025, reflecting its strong commitment to excellence and its ability to meet evolving customer expectations within a dynamic economic environment.

On the retail lending front, this performance was driven by the bank’s focus on designing smart financing solutions tailored to customers’ changing needs, supported by advanced digital platforms that streamlined access to التمويل، contributing to broader financial inclusion and higher customer satisfaction levels.

According to the bank’s financial statements, its retail loan portfolio increased by 13% YoY to reach EGP 5.63 bn by the end of 2025, compared to EGP 4.98 bn in 2024.

This growth was mainly supported by the expansion of personal and auto loans, which rose to EGP 4.23 bn in 2025, compared to EGP 3.72 bn in 2024, reflecting a YoY growth rate of 13.9%.

Mortgage loans also grew by 3.9% YoY, reaching EGP 0.83 bn by the end of 2025, compared to EGP 0.80 bn in 2024.

Credit card balances increased from EGP 0.37 bn in 2024 to EGP 0.55 bn in 2025, recording a strong growth rate of 48.2%, while retail overdrafts stood at EGP 0.02 bn by the end of 2025.

The retail segment contributed around 14.3% to the bank’s total loan portfolio, which rose to EGP 39.26 bn in 2025, compared to EGP 32.77 bn in 2024, reflecting a YoY growth rate of 19.8%.

On the deposits side, the bank successfully attracted retail deposits through a well-balanced offering combining security, flexibility, and competitive returns—enhancing customer confidence and ensuring stable liquidity flows, which supported the bank’s financial stability and sustainable growth.

This was reflected in a 19.9% YoY increase in retail deposits, reaching EGP 20.93 bn by the end of 2025, compared to EGP 17.46 bn in 2024.

The retail segment accounted for around 28.4% of total deposits, as total customer deposits at «ABC» rose to EGP 73.64 bn in 2025, compared to EGP 69.20 bn in 2024.
