Egyptian Pound Index rose to 36.249 Points Against Major Currencies at the Close of sunday, June 14 Trading
The Egyptian Pound Index increased against major currencies at the close of trading on sunday, June 14, with the index falling to 36.824 points, compared to 36.249 points at the end of Thursday’s session.
The rise was driven by the Egyptian pound’s increase against the U.S. dollar, euro, British pound, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, and Chinese yuan, the Japanese yen at the close of trading.
The average selling price of the U.S. dollar decreased from EGP 52.03 to EGP 51.16 by the end of the day, while the average buying price fell from EGP 51.78 to EGP 51.06.
The average selling price of the euro edged down from EGP 60.04 to EGP 59.19, while the average buying price fell from EGP 59.92 to EGP 59.07.
The average selling price of the British pound decreased from EGP 69.54 to EGP 68.60, while the average buying price fell from EGP 69.39 to EGP 68.45.
Meanwhile, the average selling price of the UAE dirham fell from EGP 14.17 to EGP 13.93, while the average buying price decreased from EGP 14.14 to EGP 13.90.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal decreased from EGP 13.86 to EGP 13.63, while the average buying price fell from EGP 13.83 to EGP 13.61.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan decreased from EGP 7.68 to EGP 7.57, while the average buying price fell from EGP 7.66 to EGP 7.55 at the close of trading.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen decreased from EGP 32.42 to 31.93, while the average buying price fell from EGP 32.35 to EGP 31.87 by the end of the day.
