Performance of Listed Banking Stocks at the Close of Today's Trading Session

Trading data from today's session on the Egyptian Exchange showed negative performance across the majority of listed banking stocks, with eight stocks closing lower, compared with four stocks that advanced.
Export Development Bank of Egypt topped the list of gainers, rising 1.79% to close at 20.99 EGP, compared with 20.62 EGP at the opening.
Al Baraka Bank Egypt ranked second among the top-performing banking stocks, also rising 1.79% to close at 22.75 EGP, versus 22.35 EGP at the open. It was followed by QNB Egypt, which gained 0.61% to close at 56.49 EGP, compared with 56.15 EGP at the beginning of the session.
ADIB Egypt rose 0.54% to close at 54.00 EGP, compared with 53.71 EGP at the opening.
On the downside, Housing and Development Bank declined 0.23% to close at 85.00 EGP, compared with 85.20 EGP at the opening, followed by Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (USD-denominated shares), which fell 0.31% to close at 0.977 USD, versus 0.980 USD at the open.
Egyptian Gulf Bank declined 0.35% to close at 0.563 USD, compared with 0.565 USD at the beginning of the session, followed by The United Bank, which fell 0.50% to close at 13.95 EGP, versus 14.02 EGP at the opening.
Commercial International Bank declined 0.71% to close at 139.00 EGP. Crédit Agricole Egypt also declined, closing at 24.25 EGP.
Suez Canal Bank fell 1.84% to close at 40.00 EGP, compared with 40.75 EGP at the beginning of trading, followed by Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (EGP-denominated shares), which declined 1.85% to close at 38.69 EGP, versus 39.42 EGP at the opening.
