Performance of Listed Banking Stocks at the Close of Today's Trading Session
Data from today’s trading session on the Egyptian Stock Exchange revealed a positive performance for the majority of listed bank stocks, with 8 stocks recording gains at the close of trading, compared with declines in 4 stocks.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (EGP) topped the list of the best-performing bank stocks, rising 1.74% to close at 41.52 EGP, compared with 40.81 EGP at the opening.
Housing and Development Bank ranked second among the best-performing stocks, rising 1.38% to close at 88.66 EGP, compared with 87.45 EGP at the beginning of the session. It was followed by QNB Egypt, which rose 1.30% to close at 59.92 EGP, compared with 59.15 EGP at the opening.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (USD) rose 1.02% to close at 0.991 USD, compared with 0.981 USD at the opening, followed by The United Bank, which gained 0.74% to close at 14.93 EGP, compared with 14.82 EGP at the opening.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank–Egypt rose 0.62% to close at 55.19 EGP, compared with 54.85 EGP at the opening, followed by Commercial International Bank, which gained 0.50% to close at 139.96 EGP, compared with 139.27 EGP at the opening.
Credit Agricole Egypt rose 0.29% to close at 24.53 EGP, compared with 24.46 EGP at the opening.
On the downside, Suez Canal Bank declined 0.63% to close at 42.50 EGP, compared with 42.77 EGP at the opening. Al Baraka Bank Egypt also fell 0.85% to close at 23.31 EGP, compared with 23.51 EGP at the beginning of the session.
Egyptian Gulf Bank declined 1.82% to close at 0.538 USD, compared with 0.548 USD at the opening.
