Performance of Listed Banking Stocks at the Close of Today's Trading Session
First Bank
Data from today’s trading session on the Egyptian Stock Exchange revealed a mixed performance among listed bank stocks, with 7 stocks recording gains at the close of trading, compared with declines in 5 stocks.
Housing and Development Bank topped the list of the best-performing bank stocks, rising 3.72% to close at 91.96 EGP, compared with 88.66 EGP at the opening.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (EGP) ranked second, rising 3.35% to close at 42.91 EGP, compared with 41.52 EGP at the beginning of the session. It was followed by Credit Agricole Egypt, which ranked third among the top gainers, rising 1.51% to close at 24.90 EGP, compared with 24.53 EGP at the opening.
Al Baraka Bank Egypt rose 0.69% to close at 23.47 EGP, compared with 23.31 EGP at the opening, followed by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank–Egypt, which gained 0.38% to close at 55.40 EGP, compared with 55.19 EGP at the opening.
Export Development Bank of Egypt rose 0.38% to close at 21.24 EGP, compared with 21.16 EGP at the beginning of the session, followed by Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (USD), which gained 0.20% to close at 0.993 USD, compared with 0.991 USD at the opening.
On the downside, QNB Egypt declined 0.20% to close at 59.80 EGP, compared with 59.92 EGP at the opening. Suez Canal Bank also fell 0.45% to close at 42.31 EGP, compared with 42.50 EGP at the beginning of the session.
Egyptian Gulf Bank declined 0.74% to close at 0.534 USD, compared with 0.538 USD at the opening, while Commercial International Bank fell 0.79% to close at 138.85 EGP, compared with 139.96 EGP at the opening.
The United Bank recorded a 1.00% decline, closing at 14.78 EGP, compared with 14.93 EGP at the opening.
