Housing and Development Bank (HDB) ranked first among the fastest-growing EGX-listed banks by corporate loans in H1 2026, after its portfolio jumped 36.5 per cent to EGP 44.75 billion at end-June from EGP 32.78 billion at end-2025, according to FirstBank’s ranking.
The United Bank ranked second, with its corporate loan portfolio rising 34 per cent in H1 2026 to EGP 38.66 billion at end-June from EGP 28.85 billion at end-2025.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB Egypt) ranked third, as its corporate loan portfolio increased by about 31.9 per cent during the first six months of 2026 to EGP 140.54 billion at end-June from EGP 106.54 billion at end-2025.
TThe ranking, which covers all 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), shows that each recorded positive growth in its corporate loan portfolio during H1 2026.
The combined corporate loan portfolio of EGX-listed banks rose about 15.53 per cent in H1 2026 to EGP 1.611 trillion at end-June from EGP 1.40 trillion at end-2025, an increase of more than EGP 200 billion.
The data further show that growth in corporate loan portfolios remained broadly stable, at 15.53 per cent in H1 2026 compared with 15.23 per cent in the same period of 2025.
The United Bank, ADIB Egypt, and CIB also remained among the five fastest-growing listed banks in corporate loans in both H1 2026 and 2025.
Meanwhile, Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) continued to strengthen its position as the largest EGX-listed bank by corporate loans, with its portfolio reaching EGP 527.99 billion at end-June 2026. The gap between CIB and QNB Egypt, the second-largest listed bank, widened to about EGP 101.08 billion.
