BANK NXT, Bank of Alexandria and CIB post fastest growth in net fees and commissions income in H1 2026

BANK NXT tops the ranking, rising from last place in the comparable period of 2025 Islamic banks secure one spot among the top 10, out of four banks included in the ranking
BANK NXT topped FirstBank’s ranking of the fastest-growing banks operating in the Egyptian banking market by net fees and commissions income in H1 2026, recording growth of 111.33 per cent.
The bank’s net fees and commissions income rose to about EGP 500.65 million in H1 2026, compared with about EGP 236.90 million in the same period of 2025.
Bank of Alexandria ranked second, with growth of 39.84 per cent, as its net fees and commissions income increased to about EGP 1.72 billion in H1 2026, compared with about EGP 1.23 billion in H1 2025.
Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) ranked third, with growth of 39.69 per cent, as its net fees and commissions income rose to about EGP 5.76 billion in H1 2026, compared with about EGP 4.12 billion in the same period of 2025.
FirstBank’s ranking tracked the development of net fees and commissions income at 23 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial data was available.
The data showed that 19 banks recorded positive growth in net fees and commissions income, while four banks posted declines in H1 2026.
Total net fees and commissions income at the banks covered by the analysis reached EGP 31.06 billion in H1 2026, compared with about EGP 27.16 billion in the same period of 2025, representing growth of about 14.34 per cent.
Islamic banks had a limited presence in the ranking, with one of the four banks included securing a place among the top 10. Kuwait Finance House Bank – Egypt (KFH-Egypt) ranked fourth, with growth of 39.15 per cent.
The comparison between the June 2026 and 2025 rankings showed significant changes in the top 10 positions. Only three banks remained among the top 10 in both rankings, although their positions changed, while new banks entered the list and others dropped out.
BANK NXT recorded the biggest improvement, advancing 23 places to top the ranking in H1 2026, compared with 24th place in the comparable period of 2025. Bank of Alexandria ranked second, up from fourth, while CIB climbed from seventh to third.
KFH-Egypt ranked fourth, advancing from 23rd place, while National Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (NBK-Egypt) jumped from 17th to fifth. FABMISR ranked sixth, up from 15th, followed by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – Egypt (ADCB Egypt) in seventh, compared with eighth previously. Egyptian Gulf Bank (EG BANK) ranked eighth, advancing from 16th.
Banque du Caire climbed from 13th to ninth, while Attijariwafa Bank Egypt ranked 10th, up from 19th.
