Credit Agricole Egypt, Faisal Bank, CIB And HD Bank, Are Most Efficient Listed Banks In Return On Assets, At 2022
First Bank list of most efficient listed banks in ROA ( return on average assets) during 2022, revealed that Credit Agricole Bank – Egypt topped the list with ROA of 3.58%, after achieving net profits of EGP 2.419 bn during the period From January to December 2022
ROA measures the efficiency of banks in investing their assets in order to achieve net profits, and the higher the return, the more efficiency of the bank in investing its assets to achieve appropriate profit levels.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt occupied second place in the list, after achieving ROA of 3.17% during the past year, recording a net profit of EGP4.475 bn during the same period.
Commercial International Bank - Egypt came in third place with ROA of 2.85% over the past year, after achieving net profits of EGP 16.130 bn during the same period.
As for the fourth place, Housing and Development Bank recorded ROA of 2.51% during the past year, its net profits recorded EGP 2.257 bn during the period from January to December 2022.
Qatar National Bank Al Ahli came fifth, achieved ROA of 2.44% during the past year, recording a net profit of EGP10.124 bn during the same period.
It should be noted that all values mentioned above, are according to separate financial statements announced for each bank at the end of December 2022.
