Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 15 March with decrease in the market cap by2.12 % or EGP 250.262 billion compared to EGP 255.675 billion at the end of Tuesday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 28.18 %of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 500.703 million which represents 26.15% of the total trading volume today after 11.473 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.73% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 54.7 million on shares.
The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 4.15% at 15.703 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 8.22 % to record 2.841 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 7.64% to record 4.192 points.
