EGP index fell against a basket of major currencies to 53.564 points on Thursday

The Egyptian pound index fell against the major currencies during Thursday 16 March 2023. The index reached 53.564 points, compared to 53.631 points on  Wednesday’s trading.

The Egyptian pound index decreased against 2 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It fell against the Euro Japanese Yen, it rose against pound sterling. and settled against the UAE dirham Saudi riyal, Chinese Yuan US dollar.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt fell from EGP 37.34 to EGP 37.29 at the end of today's trading, while the average buying fell from EGP 37.22 to EGP37.17

The average selling price of the euro in Egypt rose from EGP 32.71 to EGP 32.78 and the average buying price rose from EGP 32.60 to EGP 32.67 at theend of today's trading

The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP 30.93 and EGP 30.83 for buying at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt settled at EGP 8.23 and EGP 8.21 for buying at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 23.25 to EGP 23.36 while the buying price rose from EGP 23.17to EGP 23.28

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt remain stable at EGP4.48 while the buying price rose from  EGP 4.46 to EGP 4.47 at the end of today's trading

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egyptsettled at EGP 8.42 and EGP 8.39 for buying at the end of today's trading.
