EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 53.199 points on Sunday

The Egyptian pound index rose against the major currencies during Sunday 26 March 2023. The index reached 53.199 points, compared to 52.916 points on last Thursday’s trading.

The Egyptian pound index increased against 3 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It rose against the Chinese Yuan, Euro, pound sterling ,it fell against Japanese Yen and settled against the UAE dirham ,Saudi riyal, US dollar.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt fell from EGP 38.03 to EGP 37.84 at the end of today's trading, while the average buying fell from EGP 37.90 to EGP37.71

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 33.65 to EGP 33.29 and the average buying price decreased from EGP 33.53 to EGP 33.17 at theend of today's trading

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt settled at EGP 8.23 and EGP 8.20 for buying at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt fell from EGP4.52 to EGP4.50 while the buying price fell from EGP 4.51 to EGP 4.47 at the end of today's trading

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 23.54 to EGP 23.67 while the buying price rose from EGP 23.46 to EGP 23.58

The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP 30.93 and EGP 30.83 for buying at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egyptsettled at EGP 8.42 and EGP 8.39 for buying at the end of today's trading.
