EGP index increases against a basket of major currencies to 54.982 points on Sunday

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during Sunday 5 February 2023. The index reached 54.982 points, compared to 54.258 points on yesterday’s trading.

The Egyptian pound index increased against 4 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It climbed against the Pound Sterling, the Japanese Yen, the Chinese Yuan and the Euro while it remained stable against the US dollar, Saudi Riyal and UAE Dirham

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP 37.33 to EGP 36.54 at the end of Sunday trading, while the average buying rate rose from EGP 37.21 to EGP 36.41.

The average selling price of the euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 33.72 to EGP 32.73, and the average buying price declined to 32.61.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 23.62to EGP23.10 while the buying price fell from EGP 23.54 to EGP 23.03

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt decreased from EGP 4.39 to EGP 4.38, while the buying price increased to EGP 4.45

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt settled at EGP 8.07 for selling and  EGP 8.05 pounds for buying

The average rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt decreased to EGP 7.88 for selling, while its buying price increased to EGP 7.85

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt also settled at 8.25 pounds for selling, and 8.22 pounds for buying at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP 30.31 for selling and EGP 30.21 for buying
