The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 12 April with decrease in the market cap by 3.1% or EGP253.584billion compared to EGP261.693 billion at the end yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.20% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 182.719 million which represents 9.58% of the total trading volume today after 4.528 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.18% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 52 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.59% at 17.011 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.46% to record 3.000 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.67% to record 4.502 points.
