The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 19 April with Increase in the market cap by 1.41 % or EGP 270.322 billion compared to EGP 266.571 billion at the end yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.36% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 198.715 million which represents 10.77% of the total trading volume today after 4.950 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.16% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 72.9 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.13% at 17.644 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.50% to record 3.002 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.56% to record 4.568 points.
