FirstBank list of the fastest growing banks in Mortgage loans revealed that Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt topped the list with a growth rate of 569.39% during the past year, after its total portfolio increased to EGP245.4 mn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 36.7 mn at the end of December 2021.

National Bank of Kuwait - Egypt occupied second place with total Mortgage loan portfolio of 162.40% over the past year, to move from EGP 245.4mn at the end of December 2021, and reach EGP 643.9mn at the end of December 2022.

Egyptian Export Development Bank ranked third, after achieving a growth rate of 159.41%, bringing its total Mortgage loan portfolio to EGP 425.8 mn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP164.1 bn at the end of December 2021, followed by Credit Agricole Egypt, with a growth rate of 108.09% during the period. last year.

Qatar National Bank Al Ahli came in fifth place, with a growth rate of 67.65% over the past year, after the bank’s total Mortgage loan portfolio increased to EGP4.8 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP2.8 bn at the end of December 2021.

saib ranked sixth, with a growth rate of 63.66% over the past year, after the bank’s total Mortgage loans jumped to EGP1.5 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP945.6 mn at the end of December 2021.

Commercial International Bank came eighth, after its total Mortgage loan portfolio increased by a growth rate of 37.01% over the past year, to record EGP 3.4 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP2.5 bn at the end of December 2021, followed by Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt with a growth rate of 32.75% during the same period.

Housing and Development Bank came in tenth place, with a growth rate of 29.56%, after its Mortgage loan portfolio recorded EGP 11.1 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 8.5 bn at the end of December 2021, followed by Banque du caire and EGBANK, with growth rates of 21.56% and 5.58%, respectively, over the past year.
