EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 53.599 points on Tuesday
The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during Tuesday 23 May 2023. The index reached 53.599 points, compared to 53.428 points on yesterday's trading.
The Egyptian pound index rose against 4 Currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.
It rose against the Chinese Yuan, Japanese Yen, pound sterling, Euro and settled against the UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, US dollar.
The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 33.46 to EGP 33.35, while the average buying fell from EGP 33.35 to EGP33.23 at the end of today's trading
The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP 38.53 to EGP 38.29, while the average buying fell from EGP 38.39 to EGP 38.16 at the end of today's trading
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt fell from EGP 4.40 to EGP 4.38 while the average buying decreased from EGP 4.38 to EGP 4.37 at the end of today's trading
The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt fell from EGP 22.41 to EGP 22.34 while the buying price decreased from EGP 22.33 to EGP 22.27.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt settled at EGP 8.24,while the buying price settled at EGP 8.22 at the end of today's trading
The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP 30.93 and EGP 30.83 for buying at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt settled at EGP 8.42 and EGP 8.39 for buying at the end of today's trading.
