aiBANK, ADCB Egypt, FAB, EBank and ABK-Egypt, are fastest growing banks on First Bank Composite Index
First Bank composite growth index during the past year revealed that Arab Investment Bank topped the list with a composite growth rate of 72.79%, driven by net profits that jumped by 160.34%, while total portfolios of loans, assets and deposits increased by a growth rate of 84.50%, and 21.86% and 24.46%, respectively, over the past year.
ADCB Egypt ranked second among the fastest growing, with a composite growth rate of 63.18%, mainly driven by the growth of its deposit portfolio, which grew by 83.64% during 2022. Its net profits by 50%, and total assets and loan portfolio increased by 78.20% and 40.88%, respectively.
First Abu Dhabi Bank came third with 57.5% over the past year, due to the bank’s net profit growing at a rate of 129% over the past year, while total portfolios of assets, deposits and loans achieved growth rates of 55%, 35% and 11%. respectively.
E Bank came in fourth place with 52.12% during 2022, and the bank’s net profit grew by 145.1%, in addition to total portfolios of assets, loans and deposits, with growth rates of 26.93%, 23.29% and 13.16%, respectively, over the past year.
ABK – Egypt came fifth, with 50.56%, mainly driven by the growth of net profits at a rate of 101.77% during the past year, in addition total portfolios of deposits, assets and loans at rates of 38.15%, 33.22% and 29.10%. % respectively, followed by Attijariwafa bank with 49.24% during 2022.
saib ranked seventh with 49.14% during 2022, and this contributed to the growth of net profits at a rate of 137.15%, in addition to total portfolios of assets, loans and deposits at rates of 20.63%, 22.21% and 16.58%, respectively. followed by African International Bank, with 45.90% during the same period.
Emirates NBD – Egypt came in ninth place with 44.19%, followed by Ahli United Bank, Suez Canal bank and HD Bank, with 43.89%, 39.31% and 35.78%, respectively. during the previous year.
