NBE acquires 26.9% of total Mortgage financing worth EGP16.012 bn in May 2023
A recent report issued by Real Estate Finance Fund revealed that the National Bank of Egypt has acquired 26.9% of the total Mortgage financing granted by banks under the Real Estate Financing Initiative, amounting to EGP16.012 bn by the end of May 2023, provided to 137,079 customers.
The Chairwoman of Real Estate Finance Fund, in exclusive statements to First Bank, pointed out that the total financing provided by banks has increased to EGP57.097 bn by the end of May 2023, through 22 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector.
The number of customers benefiting from real estate financing granted by banks has increased to 490,603 customers, with banks accounting for 96.1% of the total customers benefiting from real estate financing during the past month.
