Nile Pioneers Initiative showcases its services in supporting entrepreneurship in Egypt during Ain Shams Innovates forum

Nile Pioneers Initiative, one of the initiatives of the Central Bank of Egypt, implemented by Nile University in collaboration with several banks and entities, participated in the fourth edition of Ain Shams Innovates Forum for the year 2023.
The initiative was organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center IHub at Ain Shams University in collaboration with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the Berlin Technical University and the German Exchange Service.
Officials from various programs of Nile Pioneers Initiative showcased their services during their participation in the sessions and discussions held on the sidelines of the forum. These services include supporting youth, idea owners, small and medium-sized enterprises, and entrepreneurship in Egypt.
Mohamed Abbas, the Assistant Executive Director of Nile Pioneers Initiative for Entrepreneurship and Head of Business Incubators Program, stated that the initiative participated in several specialized and open sessions on the journey of entrepreneurs, their success strategies, challenges they face, and how to overcome them. Additionally, direct sessions were held with entrepreneurs to answer their questions, provide guidance, raise awareness, and educate them.
Nile Pioneers Initiative also participated in a special session on artificial intelligence, highlighting how entrepreneurs can benefit from its technologies and various programs, as well as introducing them to free programs that can support their businesses.
Notably, representatives from the Nile Pioneers Initiative who participated in the sessions included Ahmed Hassani, Director of Business Development Programs, Mohamed Abbas, Assistant Executive Director for Entrepreneurship and Head of Business Incubators Program, Ahmed Abu El-Yazeed, Director of the Technology Applications Incubator, Maryam Samir, Director of the Creative Design Incubator, and Hassan Mahdi, Director of the Pre-Incubation Program.
It is worth mentioning that Ain Shams Innovates Forum is held for the fourth consecutive year and features an annual competition with prizes exceeding EGP600,000. This year, more than 280 project ideas were submitted by students, researchers, and entrepreneurs from the entrepreneurship community interested in activities related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, sustainability, and related community services.
Within this framework, attention was given to supporting the innovation and entrepreneurship system and supporting student activities that align with the state's Sustainable Development Plan 2030. This plan emphasizes the importance of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship and their utilization in linking and developing the educational and research processes with the requirements of the industry and the job market.
