EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 52.496 points on Monday

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during Monday 17 July 2023, The index reached 52.496 points, compared to 52.481 points at yesterday's trading.
The Egyptian pound index increased against 2 Currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.
It rose against the pound sterling, Chinese Yuan it fell against Japanese Yen, Euro and settled against the UAE dirham, US dollar, Saudi riyal.
The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt increased from EGP 34.74 to EGP 34.76 while the average buying increased from EGP 34.62 to EGP 34.65 at the end of today's trading.
The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP 40.50 to EGP 40.47 while the average buying decreased from EGP 40.37 to EGP 40.33 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt fell from EGP 4.33 to EGP4.31 while the average buying declined from EGP 4.31 to EGP 4.30 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 22.30 to EGP 22.37 while the buying price increased from EGP 22.22 to EGP 22.30.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt settled at EGP 8.24 while the buying price fell from EGP 8.22 to EGP 8.21 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP 30.93 and EGP 30.84 for buying at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt settled at EGP 8.42 and EGP 8.39 for buying at the end of today's trading.
