First Bank
First Bank has revealed a list of banks with the highest focus on customer loans as of the end of March 2023. Topping the list is Ahli United Bank - Egypt, with 55.12% of the bank's assets concentrated in its net portfolio of customer loans, amounting to EGP 54.324 bn. The bank's total assets reached EGP 98.557 bn by the end of the same period.
The second position went to National Bank of Kuwait - Egypt, with 53.16% of its total assets represented by net customer loans, totaling EGP 58.1 bn. The bank's total assets stood at EGP 109.3 bn by the end of March 2023.
Following closely in the third position is Attijariwafa with 49.30% of its total assets focused on net customer loans, amounting to EGP 31.734 bn. The bank's asset portfolio reached EGP 64.372 bn by the end of March 2023.
Ranked fourth is Export Development Bank of Egypt, where 48.84% of its total assets are in net customer loans, totaling EGP 50.628 bn. The bank's assets reached EGP 103.666 bn by the end of the same period.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt secured the fifth position, with 48.76% of its total assets allocated to the net customer loan portfolio, amounting to EGP 60.630 bn. The bank's assets amounted to EGP 124.333 bn by the end of March 2023.
In sixth place, QNB Al Ahli Bank had 45.09% of its total assets focused on net customer loans, valued at EGP 233.325 bn by the end of March 2023, followed by Emirates NBD - Egypt at 44.28% by the same period.
The eighth spot was taken by Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait - Egypt, with 43.46% of its total assets concentrated in net customer loans amounting to EGP 34.700 bn. The bank's assets reached EGP 79.840 bn by the end of March 2023.
saib secured the ninth position, with 41.26% of its total assets in net customer loans valued at EGP 43.255 bn by the end of March 2023. The bank's asset portfolio was around EGP 104.837 bn. Following closely in tenth place is Alex Bank with a concentration rate of 40.78% by the end of the same period.
