EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 53.855 points on Thursday

The Egyptian pound index Increased against the major currencies during Thursday 31 August 2023, The index reached 53.855 points, compared to 53.849 points at yesterday's trading.
The Egyptian pound index Increased against one Currency among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.
It rose against the Euro, it fell against Japanese Yen, pound sterling, and settled against, UAE dirham, US dollar, Saudi riyal, Chinese Yuan.
The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 33.69 to EGP 33.63 while the average buying declined from EGP 33.57 to EGP 33.52 at the end of today's trading.
The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt Increased from EGP 39.17 to EGP 39.20 while the average buying rose from EGP 39.04 to EGP 39.07 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt settled at EGP 4.24. and EGP 4.23 for buying at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt increased from EGP 21.13 to EGP 21.20. while the average buying rose from EGP 21.06 to EGP 21.013 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt remain stable at EGP 8.24 while the buying price settled at EGP 8.22 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP 30.93 and EGP 30.84 for buying.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt settled at EGP 8.42 and EGP 8.39 for buying at the end of today's trading.
