The Egyptian Exchange has approved alBaraka Bank to engage in government debt instruments

The Membership Committee of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, in decision number 12 of 2023 dated 20/09/2023, approved alBaraka's request (a member of the Egyptian Stock Exchange as a custodian) to enable the trading of government debt instruments (bonds, t-bills, and any other government papers or instruments allowed for trading) under code number 3529.

This decision was based on the approval issued by the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority in decision number 2095 of 2023 dated 22/08/2023 to directly trade in the secondary market for government debt instruments as a non-principal participant.
