Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 1 November with Increase in the market cap by 0.03% to record EGP 340.651 bn compared to EGP 340.558 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.28% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 502.672 mn which represents 14.17% of the total trading volume today after 9.648 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.25% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 34.3 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.52% and 22.912 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.47% to record 4.368 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.49% to record 6.544 points.
