Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 27 September with Decrease in the market cap by 0.7% to record EGP 317.742 bn compared to EGP 319.838 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.15% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 170.896 mn which represents 7.97% of the total trading volume today after 4.537 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.67% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 166.5 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.89% and 20.429 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Fell by 0.28% to record 3.806 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.44% to record 5.658 points.
