Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 19 July with decrease in the market cap by 0.01% to record EGP 278.305 billion compared to EGP 278.332 billion at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.73% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP305.374million which represents 19.13% of the total trading volume today after 6.698 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.99% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 59 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.17% and 17.624 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.16% to record 3.544 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.08% to record 5.234 points.
