The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 31 May with increase in the market cap by 2.7% or EGP 277.431 billion compared to EGP 270.070 billion at the end of yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.89% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 384.557 million which represents 11.23% of the total trading volume today after 9.647 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.97% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 207.8 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.22% at 17.745 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.43% to record 3.295 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.49% to record 4.945 points.
