Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 3 May with increase in the market cap by 0.18 % or EGP 270.910 billion compared to EGP 270.419 billion at the end yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.86% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 322.352million which represents 19.20% of the total trading volume today after 9.547 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.10% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 32 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.03% at 17.420 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.15% to record 2.998 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.08% to record 4.551 points.
