Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 26 April with decrease in the market cap by 0.71 % or EGP 268.412 billion compared to EGP 270.322 billion at the end last Wednesday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.92% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 501.294 million which represents 24.70% of the total trading volume today after11.581million shares were exchanged capturing 2.60% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 267 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.36% at 17.557 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.72% to record 3.017 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.64% to record 4.580 points.
