Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 10 May with Increase in the market cap by 0.02 % or EGP 267.629 billion compared to EGP 267.573 billion at the end yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.05% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 219.201 million which represents 10.64% of the total trading volume today after 5.373 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.92% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 290 thousand shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.97% at 17.494 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.65% to record 3.029 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.92% to record 4.682points
