Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 26 July with decrease in the market cap by 0.90% to record EGP 278.023 billion compared to EGP 280.534 billion at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.88% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 250.115 million which represents 23.73% of the total trading volume today after 6.319 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.34% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 59.1 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.48% and 17.549 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.80% to record 3.521 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.25% to record 5.189 points.
