Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 7 June with increase in the market cap by 0.02% or EGP 277.194 billion compared to EGP 277.131 billion at the end of yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.77% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 418.544 million which represents 11.58% of the total trading volume today after 12.679 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.82% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 171 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.82% at 17.601 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 2.80% to record 3.701 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.84% to record 5.400 points.
