The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 14 June with decrease in the market cap by 1.56% or EGP 272.970 billion compared to EGP 277.283 billion at the end of yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.99% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 311.249 million which represents 11.37% of the total trading volume today after 7.735 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.84% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 19.6 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.04% at 18.056 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.81% to record 3.581 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.73% to record 5.309points.
