Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 12 July with increase in the market cap by 1.63% to record EGP 274.305 billion compared to EGP 269.893 billion at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.70% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 226.596 million which represents 15.87% of the total trading volume today after 5.421 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.09% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 23.8 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.06% at 17.205 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.31% to record 3.442 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.39% to record 5.099 points.
