Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 9 August with Increase in the market cap by 0.01% to record EGP 279.354 bn compared to EGP 276.323 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.28% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 158.268 mn which represents 6.68% of the total trading volume today after 4.301 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.57% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 62.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.08% and 17.910 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.07 % to record 3.616 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.08 % to record 5.348 points.
