Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 21 June with decrease in the market cap by 0.75% or EGP 281.976 billion compared to EGP 284.104 billion at yesterday 's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.72% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 225.118 million which represents 12.52% of the total trading volume today after 5.994 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.54% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 26.8 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.20% at 17.933 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 2.29% to record 3.677 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 2.07% to record 5.406 points.
