Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 8 November with Increase in the market cap by 5.19% to record EGP 380.354 bn compared to EGP 361.595 bn Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.34% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 634.530 mn which represents 15.36% of the total trading volume today after 13.967 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.09% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 256.3 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 2.54% and 24.136 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.75% to record 4.695 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.74% to record 6.951 points.
