Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 6 September with Increase in the market cap by 3.34% to record EGP 311.208 bn compared to EGP 301.161 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.07% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 390.152 mn which represents 17.08% of the total trading volume today after 7.469 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.84% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 76 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.95% and 19.287 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.97% to record 3. 859 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.61 % to record 5.649 points.
