Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 2 August with Increase in the market cap by 0.36% to record EGP 278.395 billion compared to EGP 277.405 billion at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.78% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 245.761 million which represents 8.63% of the total trading volume today after 5.340 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.43% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 35.6 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.33% and 17.610 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.0.89% to record 3.551 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.86 % to record 5.242 points.
