EBank, ADIB-Egypt and saib, top listed banks in terms of LDR by Sep-2023 end

According to First Bank's list of the best listed banks in loans to deposit ratio( LDR), Egyptian Export Development Bank EBank topped the list with a utilization rate of 62.76%, having a total loan portfolio of around EGP54.08 bn and a deposit portfolio of EGP86.18 bn by the end of September 2023.
First Bank's list reveals loans to deposit ratio among 11 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, ranging from 38.22% to 62.76% by the end of September 2023. Faisal Bank deviates from the trend recording the lowest LDR rate at the same period. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt 'ADIB' secured the second position with LDR of 56.85%, having a total customer loan portfolio of EGP65.55 bn and a deposit portfolio of EGP 115.31 bn by the end of September 2023.
The third position went to saib with LDR 54.25%, recording a total customer loan portfolio of EGP46.466 bn and a deposit portfolio of EGP85.65 bn by the end of the same period.
Qatar National Bank claimed the fourth position with 52.13%, boasting a total customer loan portfolio of approximately EGP259.76 bn and a deposit portfolio of EGP498.34 bn by the end of September 2023.
alBaraka Bank secured the fifth position on the list with 49.75%, as its total customer loan portfolio rose to EGP40.94 bn, while its deposit portfolio reached EGP82.29 bn by the end of September 2023.Following closely, Suez Canal Bank with 48.55% by the end of the same period.
It's worth noting that all figures and employment percentages in the above analysis are based on separate financial statements declared by each bank at the end of December 2023.
