EBank, ADIB Egypt, and QNB ALAHLI, top listed banks in focusing on customer loans by September-2023 end

According to First Bank list of listed banks most concentrated on customer loans, EBank topped the list with a rate of 47.15% after its net customer loan portfolio reached EGP51.96bn by the end of September 2023, while its asset portfolio amounted to EGP 110.20 bn during the same period of the current year.
First Bank list revealed the investment trends of listed banks on the Egyptian stock exchange, specifically in terms of net customer loan portfolios. It relies on the metric of "Net Customer net Loans/Assets" to provide an indicator of how much a bank's assets are concentrated in the customer loans category.
Returning to the list, the second position was secured by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt, with 41.90 % of its total assets concentrated in its net customer loan portfolio, valued at EGP 61.61 bn, while its asset portfolio reached EGP 147.04 bn by the end of September 2023.
QNB Al Ahli took the third position with a net customer loan portfolio concentration of 41.71% of its total assets valued at EGP 584.04 bn, while its net customer loans amounted to approximately EGP 243.58 bn by the end of September 2023.
As for the fourth position, it was attained by saib, with 40.60% of its total assets concentrated in its net customer loan portfolio, valued at EGP 43.57 bn, while the bank's total assets amounted to approximately EGP 107.33 bn by the end of September 2023.
Credit Agricole Egypt ranked fifth, with a concentration of 36.81% of its total assets of EGP 100.38 bn in its net customer loan portfolio, which amounted to EGP 36.95 bn by the end of September 2023. Following closely were alBaraka and Suez Canal banks in the sixth and seventh positions, with concentration of 36.60% and 35.76%, respectively, by the end of the same period.
It is worth noting that all the values and concentration percentages mentioned in the analysis above are based on the separate financial statements declared by each bank at the end of September 2023.
