Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 7 December with Increase in the market cap by 0.02% to record EGP 406.575 bn compared to EGP 406.510 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.51% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 468.731 bn which represents 12.25% of the total trading volume today after 7.174 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.59% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.7% and 24.710 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks declined by 1.18% to record 5.297 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.93% to record 7.753 points.
