Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 14 December with Increase in the market cap by 0.54% to record EGP 404.733 bn compared to EGP 402.558 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.09% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 562.604 mn which represents 14.66% of the total trading volume today after 9.793 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.65% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease  EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.21% and 25.056 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.62% to record 5.379 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 1.27% to record 7.670 points.
