Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 28 December with Increase in the market cap by 1.7% to record EGP 400.398 bn compared to EGP 393.883 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 359.858 mn which represents 12.24% of the total trading volume today after 5.965 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.72% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.40% and 25.780 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.02% to record 5.494 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.33% to record 7.944 points.
