The List Of The Best Banks In Terms Of Return On Average Assets During The period from January to last September, Revealed By First Bank, Showed Crédit Agricole Egypt Leading The List With An Average Return On Assets Of 4.34%, Having Achieved A Net Profit EGP 3.81 Bn During The First 9M Of 2023.
The List Included 23 Banks In The Egyptian Banking Sector, All Of Which Achieved Positive Rates In Return On Average Assets, Indicating Their Success In Generating Varying Levels Of Net Profits Without Incurring Any Losses From January To September 2023.
The list revealed that 21 banks operating in the banking sector exceeded the rate of Return On Average Assets set by the Central Bank of Egypt at 1.2% in June 2023 according to the latest statistical statement issued on the Central Bank's website.
Return On Average Assets Measures Banks’ Efficiency In Investing Their Assets To Achieve Net Profits During The Analyzed Period. The Higher The Return, The More Efficient The Bank Is In Generating Suitable Profit Levels.
The Second Position Was Secured By Housing And Development Bank, With An Average Return On Assets Of 3.98% During The First 9M Of last Year, Where The Bank Achieved A Net Profit Of EGP 4.42 Bn During The Same Period.
Commercial International Bank Claimed The Third Position With An Average Return On Assets Of 3.01% During The First 9M Of last Year, After Achieving A Net Profit Of EGP 21.73 Bn During The Same Period.
Ahli United Bank Of Egypt Took The Fourth Position With An Average Return On Assets Of 2.86% And A Net Profit Of EGP 2.77 Bn During The First 9M Of 2023, Followed By Alex Bank With An Average Return On Assets Of 2.81% During The Same Period.
Sixth Position Was Taken By Ahli Bank Kuwait – Egypt (ABK – Egypt), Which Managed To Achieve A Return On Average Assets Of 2.79% Due To An Increase In Its Net Profits To EGP 2.32 Bn During The First 9M Of 2023.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt Secured The Seventh Position On The List, With An Average Return On Assets Of 2.61%, Having Achieved A Net Profit Of EGP 3.42 Bn During The First 9M Of 2023, Followed By National Bank of Kuwait – Egypt With An Average Return On Assets Of 2.31% During The Same Period.
QNB Claimed The Ninth Position With An Average Return On Assets Of 2.25% During The First 9M Of last Year, After Achieving A Net Profit Of EGP 11.92 Bn During The Same Period.
Emirates NBD – Egypt Came In Tenth With An Average Return On Assets Of 2.21%, After Recording A Net Profit Of EGP 2.55 Bn During The First 9M Of 2023.
