FirstBank List Of The Fastest-Growing Banks In Retail Deposits Revealed That The Arab African International Bank Topped The List With A Growth Rate Of 95.02% During The First 9 months Of The Current Year. Its Portfolio Size Increased To EGP 142.18 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 72.9 Bn At The End Of December 2022.
The List Tracked The Size Of Retail Deposits Portfolios At 21 Banks Operating In The Egyptian Banking Sector, For Which Financial Data Was Available For Analysis. It Showed That all Banks Achieved Positive Growth Rates In Their Retail Deposits Portfolios, From January To September 2023.
Returning To The List, HD Bank Secured The Second Position After Its Retail Deposits Portfolio Grew By 65.67% During The First 9M Of The Current Year, Reaching A Total Portfolio Size Of Around EGP 45.10 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Up From EGP 27.2 Bn At The End Of December 2022.
As For The Third Position, It Was Claimed By Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) After Achieving A Growth Rate Of 34.29% In Its Retail Deposits Portfolio During The First 9M Of The Current Year. Its Value Stood At EGP 359.76 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 267.90 Bn At The End Of December 2022.
Ahli United Bank Of Egypt Secured The Fourth Position With A Growth Rate Of 23.89% During The First 9M Of The Current Year, As Its Retail Deposits Portfolio Increased To EGP 17.38 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Up From EGP14.03Bn At The End Of December 2022.
aiBank come In Fifth Place After Achieving A Growth Rate Of 21.21% In Its Retail Deposits Portfolio During The First 9 months Of The Current Year, Recording A Value Of EGP 15.24 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 12.58 Bn At The End Of December 2022.
ABK-Egypt Secured The Sixth Position After Achieving A Growth Rate Of 18.24% In Its Total Retail Deposits Portfolio During The First 9 months Of The Current Year, With A Value Of EGP 19.63 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Up From EGP 16.60 Bn At The End Of December 2022.
QNB Al Ahli Came In Seventh Place With A Growth Rate Of 17.82% During The First 9M Of The Current Year, Recording An retail Deposits Portfolio Of EGP 170.47 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 144.7 Bn At The End Of December 2022. It Was Followed By Banque Du Caire With A Growth Rate Of 17.55% During The Same Period.
ADCB Egypt Secured The Ninth Position After Achieving A Growth Rate Of 17.38% In Its Total Retail Deposits Portfolio During The First 9M Of The Current Year, With A Value Of EGP 13.07 Bn By The End Of September 2023, compared to EGP 11.13 Bn At The End Of December 2022. It Was Followed By Ebank With A Growth Rate Of 12.78% During The Same Period.
EBank Came In Tenth Place with A Growth Rate Of 16.43% During The First 9M Of The Current Year, as Its Retail Deposits Portfolio Reaching Approximately EGP 15.35 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 13.19 Bn At The End Of December 2022.
