The List Of The Fastest-Growing Banks In Assets During The First 9M Of The Current Year, Provided By FirstBank, Revealed That AAIB Topped The List With A Growth Rate Of 45.3%, As Its Portfolio Size Reached Equivalent To EGP474.3 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Equivalent To Compared To EGP326.4 Bn By The End Of December 2022.
First Bank List Tracked The Asset Portfolios Of 21 Banks Operating In The Egyptian Banking Sector, For Which Financial Data Was Available During The Analysis Period. It Revealed That all Banks Achieved Positive Growth Rates In Their Asset Sizes From January To September 2023.
Returning To The List, credit Agricole Egypt Ranked Second With A Growth Rate Of 33.6% During The First 9 months Of The Current Year. Its Asset Portfolio Rose To EGP 100.4 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 75.1 Bn By The End Of December 2022.
Attijariwafa bank Claimed The Third Position With A Growth Rate Of 29.2% During The First 9M Of The Current Year, As The Bank's Asset Portfolio Increased To EGP 79.7 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 61.7 Bn By The End Of December 2022.
Emirates NBD- Egypt Secured The Fourth Position With A Growth Rate Of 28.2% During The First 9M Of The Current Year, With Its Asset Portfolio Reaching Approximately EGP 129.4 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 100.9 Bn By The End Of December 2022.
As For The Fifth Position, It Was Obtained By Commercial International Bank (CIB) After Achieving A Growth Rate Of 27.6% In The Size Of Its Asset Portfolio During The First 9M Of The Current Year, Reaching EGP 808.7Bn) By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 633.6 Bn By The End Of December 2022.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt Secured The sixth Position After Achieving A Growth Rate Of 27.3% In Its Asset Portfolio During The First 9 months Of The Current Year, Increasing From EGP 115.5 Bn By The End Of December 2022 To EGP 147 Bn By The End Of September 2023. Followed By Ahli United Bank With A Growth Rate Of 26% During The Same Period.
As For The Eighth Position, It Was Obtained By Saib After Achieving A Growth Rate Of 24.1% In The Size Of Its Asset Portfolio During The First 9 months of The Current Year, Reaching Equivalent To EGP107.3bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared Equivalent To EGP 86.5 bn By The End Of December 2022.
Suez Canal Bank Claimed The Ninth Position With A Growth Rate Of 23.5% During The First 9 months Of The Current Year, As Its Asset Portfolio Rose To EGP 92.2 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 74.7 Bn By The End Of December 2022.
QNB Al AHLI Came In Tenth Place, With Its Asset Portfolio Growing At A Rate Of 22.5% During The First 9 months Of The Current Year. As Its Asset Portfolio Rose To EGP 584 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Compared To EGP 476.8 Bn By The End Of December 2022.
