AAIB, Banque du Caire, and Banque Misr Top banks in Asset Coverage Ratio for Deposits by September 2023end

First Bank has released a list of the best banks in terms of asset coverage ratio for deposits. Arab African International Bank topped the list, with a coverage rate of 145.30% at the end of September last year. The Bank's Deposits Reached EGP 474.3 Bn, While Its Asset Portfolio Amounted To EGP 326.4 Bn By September 2023 End.

Asset Coverage Ratio For Deposits Reflects Banks' Ability To Cover Their Customers' Deposits Using Their Asset Portfolios. The Ranking Is Based On The Ratio (Assets/Deposits) × 100, And Higher Values Indicate A Higher Level Of Safety Provided By The Bank To Its Depositors Across Different Segments.

The List Included 23 Banks Operating In The Egyptian Banking Sector, All Of Which Showed Strong Coverage Rates For Their Customers' Deposits By The End Of September 2023.

Banque du Caire Secured The Second Position With A Coverage Rate Of 138.57%. The Bank's Deposits Amounted To EGP 274.5 Bn, While Its Asset Portfolio Reached Around EGP 380.4 Bn By The End Of September 2023.

In The Third Place Was Banque Misr, With 135.11%. Its Total Deposit Portfolio Reached EGP 1.85 tn, While Its Asset Portfolio Amounted To EGP2.50tn By September 2023 End. Next On The List Was Faisal Bank With A Coverage Rate Of 131.23% during The Same Period.

Ahli United Bank Egypt Secured The Fifth Position With A Coverage Rate Of 128.12%. Its Deposits Amounted To EGP 84.1 Bn, And Its Asset Portfolio Reached EGP 107.7 Bn By The End Of The Same Period.

EBank come In Sixth place With A Coverage Rate Of 127.88%, The Bank's Deposits Amounted To EGP 86.2 Bn, While Its Asset Portfolio Reached Around EGP 110.2 Bn By The End Of September 2023.

ADIB Egypt Secured The Seventh Place With A Coverage Rate Of 127.52%. The Bank's Deposits Amounted To EGP 115.3 Bn, While Its Asset Portfolio Reached Around EGP 147.04 Bn By The End Of September 2023.

saib Secured The Eighth Position With A Coverage Rate Of 125.31%, The Bank's Deposits Amounted To EGP 85.7 Bn, While Its Asset Portfolio Reached Around EGP 107.3 Bn By The End Of September 2023, Followed By NBK Egypt With 124.69%, during the same period.

Credit Agricole Bank come In Tenth position With A Coverage Rate Of 124.30%, The Bank's Deposits Amounted To EGP 80.8 Bn, While Its Asset Portfolio Reached Around EGP 100.4 Bn By The End Of September 2023.
